My 4 year old son has been running  a fever for four days he also has been complaining of his head and neck hurting and sensitivity to light. So yesterday I took him to his Dr well the lab and x-rays were closed for the day and my Dr was concerned so he sent us to the local hospital er. We got there and my son was full out crying because he hurt so bad and his fever went back up. Stupid me forgot any meds anyway we go back to the room and he wouldn't let the Dr look at him cause he hurting so bad. They gave him Motrin for his 102 fever and Tylenol with codeine in it for the pain. Needless to say he was feeling good! Anyways they took blood and did some other tests and said that his lymph nodes in his neck were infected. That is why they are swollen and he is having such pain. They gave him a antibiotic and pain meds. Has anyone elses child had this if so how long did it take before they got over it? Thanks for listening I know this is kinda long.

Oh wow, you think that this is long? You need to check out some of my posts, lol. Okay back to read it now. I just wanted to add that this isn't long at all.

Okay, now that I've read it. I'm sorry I haven't experienced this one. My son was very sick with flu-like symptoms the other day but he's better now. I'm sorry that your little one is going through this and I hope that he gets well soon. Here's a bump anyway. Take care.
