Scared me half to death

yesterday we walked the mall with some friends.... Well, first THEY lost their oldest, so we were running around like crazy looking for him. Thankfully he was found.

Well, after i had to buy another pack of diapers because MY dumb ass didnt check the diaper bag and we were out, we went to Cellular South so they could see if something could be done about their phone. Well, we were talking, and my 10 month old was in the stroller. I turned around, and he was on the ground! The little fricker managed to wriggle out of the stroller and started to crawl away.

OMGoodness. I was scared to death. What if someone just snatched him up?1?!? Oh my god, i'd NEVER forgive myself. I quit buckling him because he'd throw a fit and toss and turn wierd and ended up with marks on his thighs and hip from it...

When we were in DC last month, we saw a woman pushing her child in a stroller unbuckled, she hit a crack and the kid fell out. Mom laughed as the kid cried. It was sad.

But, I know how scary that can be, Maddie took off at a carnival once. Scared the crap out of me.

I was right behind her, running. I caught her before she got too far.

I had one of these moments today...

When I was 3 we live in an old farm house and to keep the windows up you had to put a stick in there. Well I pulled the stick out and chopped off the tips of my fingers on my left hand. Those fingers are all 1/2 inch shorter then on my other hand. Well... we have a window that doesn't stay up so you have to use a stick to keep it open. The water heater was messed up so dh had to drain it and he ran a hose threw that window but forgot to close it (It's a 2 part window the outside was closed but not the inside). So DS who is three was in my room and next thing I heard him screaming. When I went in there I realized he pulled the stick out and all I could think about was my fingers and OMG he chopped his fingers off.

Thankfully he didn't. I thought he might have broken his thumb at first but it was just sore he is all better now. There is a cut along his wrist above his thumb where the window came down on it.
