last yr around this time i got a terrible painful rash type thing on the back of my neck, like on the bottom of my hairline. well i went to a doctor and was told to get tested for lupus. he gave me some pain meds and a cream for it. it didnt work so my mil took me to their doctor in mexico. they gave me a shot over there and it went away. so then i got tested for lupus but it all came back that i didnt have lupus. i was told that the outbreak had to be there when you get tested if not the results wont come back accurate. well almost a yr later it is coming back again. its not as bad this time. i hope it dont get to that point this time. before it hurt so bad i couldnt even move my neck. what the hell is going on with my body...

Bump because I have no idea. I get the classic butterfly rash on my face and have been tested many times for lupus but it keeps coming back that I don't have it. I also have seen on a medical show that they lupus test can be wrong 75% of the time.

i have that butterfly rash as well. that is what prompted the doctor to think it was lupus. i just cant afford getting tested over and over. right now me and dh are both out of jobs. i am looking and it seems that stress makes the butterfly rash worse.
