I paid them back for it, and worked quite hard for it too.

ETA: I should clarify, they actually took a personal loan out at our credit union.  I paid the car payments and I paid my parents for car insurance.

Nope...I was emancipated and bought my own car at 15.

I WILL buy my DD a car as long as she has decent grades and a job or extracurricular activity.

LMAO....I vote HELL NO.

Here you can't get a license until you;re 17 anyway.(I didn't get mine until I was 26yrs old). My parents aren't the type to buy their kids a car...they don't have the money and even if they did they think kids should work for their stuff. (at that age I mean)

Yes, 3 of them. They weren't expensive cars, but I didn't have to pay for them. I had an s-10 that was wrecked, a Geo Metro, and then a Ford Escort that I drove up until we left Nevada.

I'm a spoiled rotten only brat... My mom got a new car for her b-day (a month before mine).  I got her old car... a month before I turned 16.  It was waitin' for me!

Of course the alternator was bad and the engine randomly caught fire on me about a year later.  That was an insane day... LOL.

HA HELL NO! And my parents are freaking loaded!!!!!!!!!! I parents have over 6 vehicles! One of which is a brand new lotus elise!!! that cost more than 30 of my cars!! I had to pay for my first car all by myself and they wouldn't help me out one bit which was bullshit because they bought my sister 2 brand new vehicles and they bought my little brother a new vehicle but me and my older brother had to pay for our vehicles!

My step -brother (who's my age) & I got my step-moms car & she got a new one.  We had to share.  I guess we were lucky - it was a mustang - but it was BRIGHT competition orange!!!  We couldn't sneak anywhere - everyone knew that car!!

Yes, my dad bought me a 1980 Ford Fairmont Futura (this was in 1995) for $650.  I didn't have to pay for the car, just insurance and gas.
