Precious The Movie Spin Off From The Blacks And Twlight Movie Post
I stated my opinion in the other post, I'm black and I love True Blood and Twilight, so I dont think it has anything to do with race, but I was curious to see who saw the movie Precious? Some would say its a "Black" movie or geared towards black people, I saw the movie and I liked it, it was very powerful. Thinking back now since that other post and how she said that her husband thought that their daughter was going to be the only black person in the theatre for Twilight, I remember seeing alot of other races besides black in the theatre for Precious, so I dont think race has anything to do with it, its all about what your interested in, or what gets your attention.. So who say Precious? What did you think of the movie? I know its not out everywhere, only select theatres were playing it
I am just jealous of all the moms that are going out seeing movies! I don't even remember the last movie I saw...or who else was sitting there!

Honestly, when I saw the first preview for precious, i thought it was a 'fat people' movie. (which, i am overweight) and i was thinking the theater was going to be full of big girls.....so, whatever.
Sadly, I couldn't even name a movie in theaters (well, I guess now I can name 2) but I don't ever ask anyone to watch my DD so DH & I can go. I work & I feel that if I leave her more than just for work then it's too much. It is my irrational mommy guilt. I know it's irrational, but I still think that way. I couldn't even tell you what Precious or New Moon are about?!?
Ive been dying to see the movie precious it looks like a great movie! and def a powerful one at that. I prefer movies that have meanings to it besides movies with vampires that sparkle. lol
I don't know what the movie is about, but I do know that my sister is going to see it and she is white.
I saw the movie on riday when it cam out and I also went to see Twilight right after I saw Precious. Both were good. I dont think it was a white black issue because i live in Shiloh,Il adn there were quite a few white people and people of other ethicnic backgrounds there that movie was very I DONT EVEN HAVE A WORD FOR IT. OPRAH and TYLER did good. And that actress Gabby god that role took some very stong emotional stability congrats to her
