The CPS post got me wondering. Have any of you ever known anyone who had CPS order a hair folical drug test of the child? I had no idea this could even be done.

When we were in the process of adopting my two little sisters CPS did a follicle test on both of them.

Nope, then again I don't hang out with dopers.

The one girl I know who did get CPS called on her, did have to have her sons medical and dental records handed over to CPS for review.

Nope, never heard of it. Thats not saying they wouldn't do it, but I've never heard of them doing it.

Yeah...  I just got a call from a friend this morning that her kids were taken last night after she had the cops over to remove her soon to be ex husband from her home.  He was not supposed to be around the kids because of his heavy drug use and CPS told her if he came near them again they would take them and did.  They said they were doing a hair folical test on them to see what drugs they were exposed to (which is NONE)  Shes all torn up because she didnt want him there he just showed up and broke and and refused to leave...

I don't see why they wouldn't do it. With their line of work they should take extensive measures in testing for drugs or anything else to ensure a child's safety.

Hopefully the fact that she had called the police to remove him will go in her favor and the kids will be home quickly. I cannot imagine how traumatic it must be for a child to be removed from his home and left alone with strangers.
