Since we have determined that a small thanksgiving meal can be had for about $12.  Did you donate a meal to your local food pantry?

We just moved , and in our new town/city I don't even really know where the food pantry is. We did donate money to a charity that provides thanksgiving meals, but we didn't donate food.

Actually, I helped organize a food drive with the church kids group again and we fed 27 families.  I bought $100 worth of food myself!

It was really cute because one of the 5th grade boys walked up to his grandma and told her to write a check for $500 so the poor people could have thansgiving.  So generous with her money LOL.

I've got 5 turkeys in my freezer to take over to the Salvation Army tomorrow.  I ALWAYS donate year round.

Good point! No we didn't donate. If we didn't go to other family members houses we would be getting a food basket from a charity.

We haven't yet, but our family is doing a mini food drive (well there are 100 people or so) at our family Christmas party the following Saturday.

Yes actually this year I donated my free turkey coupon to church because the ham I was eligible for I didn't want.

Our church does food baskets for the needy in our our parish, that i always help with.

Also weekly I do 5 meal donations, all I do is put a serving of that nights dinner into a tray the church supplies and freeze it. At the end of the week I take my 5 frozen labled meals into the church and they are used for the parish meals on wheels program.

I use to be a driver but time restraints limits me to a food preparer.

This I pretty much do year round
