I know alot of the moms on here have evenflo car seats so heres the info
Evenflo is recalling their First Choice infant only seats. Details:
From Evenflo:
Attention Evenflo First Choice model 3604098 Infant Car Seat Owners
If you have an Evenflo First Choice, model number 3604098, manufactured between January 16, 2009 and September 29, 2009, contact Evenflo for a free set of labels. Due to a manufacturing error, a small number of First Choice infant car seats were shipped without an informational label applied to the seat. The model number and date of manufacture can be found by turning the seat upside down and examining the white label on the bottom of the seat. Please contact Evenflo at 800-233-5921 for a set of labels. You may continue to use your First Choice until your new labels arrive. The responsibility for this action rests solely with Evenflo, so please do not return the seat to your local retailer or distributor.
Additional Details from NHTSA:
A LABEL WAS INADVERTENTLY LEFT OFF THIS PRODUCT THAT CONTAINS CERTAIN REQUIRED INFORMATION ABOUT CONTACTING EVENFLO TO REGISTER THE CAR SEAT IN CASE OF A RECALL, INFORMATION ABOUT CONTACTING THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION FOR RECALL INFORMATION, AS WELL AS A STATEMENT CERTIFYING THAT THE CAR SEAT COMPLIES WITH THE SAFETY STANDARD AND IS CERTIFIED FOR USE IN AIRCRAFT.

Is it just me or does Evenflo have a lot of recalls on infant seats? Glad I have a Graco!
Yeah this is one of the BIG reasons I try to discourage moms fromt he evenflo..I mean I know theya re the cheapest but still...OH and these seats that are recalled are ones that the hospital gives out alot...and health departments
OH and evenflo seats have to be used WITH the base, not without AND the handle must be down when installed in the car and the handle can NOT touch the front seat there must be clearance between the handle and the front seat.
That was my first thought too. To be honest that seat just looks poorly made. I know the issue is labels, just saying it looks so flimsy to me.
