Hospital encouraging its employees to get the h1n1 vacc....
The hospital that i work for has a new policy in place for this flu season. Those that refuse the h1n1 vaccination, provided free of charge by the hospital, must wear a mask during their entire shift.
Of course this excludes those w/ allergies and sensitivities.
I think its hiliarious. Id like to see how this turns out.

Our local hospitals have made it mandatory for all employees and volunteers to get the vaccine. I don't understand how they can, but they are. We have several members of our family that work at the hospital - that's the only reason I know about it. They have to get BOTH - seasonal and H1N1.
i think thats a great idea...there is sooo many people out there who really want that vax, but cant have it because of priority reasons....i think thats a fair judgement! i got mine a couple weeks ago (preggo!) and am thankful for that. i did have to go to the hospital this past week, and the personnel in admitting were all wearing them. but the tech i saw was not.
A friend of mine who works at a locla hospital was telling me about the mask deal. At first they told him he only had to wear it when he was on maternity. Then they went to his entire shift. He broke down and got the shot, and told them that it was against his will and if something happened to him due to it his family would sue them into the dark ages.
I can't believe how they are trying to make it mandatory. It is insane.
I would be fighting that! Or, if I needed my job, I might get it and have a lawyer ready to sue them should something go wrong!
I got mine about a month ago, i'd probably be a little angry if i didnt want it and they were trying to force my hand on the subject. But i believe in vaccines.

Here it is mandatory for all healthcare personel(hospitals AND doctors offices) to get the vaccine.

I think the choice thing is the biggest issue for me. I do all vaccines with the exception of the flu. I do not do seasonal or any other variations. I had a bad reaction the one time I did take it, and never will I do it again. And I will not test my daughter. When she gets older, she can decide if she wants it or not.

I also work @ a hosp. for SVP's. It's madatory for us to get it too..If you don't, you can't work.
People that are incarcerated are not in constant germ filled situations..unless brought in by employees.
We have a lot of inmates that have low or lower immune systems due to HIV or hepatitis..Bottom line ...it could kill them..Now Maybe the world would be better off with out the dregs...but..I can not be the weapon that kills them..(a least thats what administration says)
