I just had my divorce finalized on November 17th this past week. Today I get a notificaton in the mail about my case saying the following and I wasn't sure what it meant ...

In the 225th District Court of Bexar County, Texas, A Judgement/Order was signed by the Honorable Karen H. Pozza Presiding on the 17th Day of November, A.D. 2009

The next to it (this is where I get confused) it says

Return Service Requested

11/19/2009

Rule 306a Official Notice

My question is about the return service requested? And what do they mean my rule 306a Official Notice?? Thx to anyone who can help.

Here's a link to what Rule 306a is.

Return service requested is for the post office.  The sender puts that on the envelope in case the letter is not claimed.

So are they just letting me know, maybe, about the time limit on appealing the case? I was confused and thought maybe they were telling me that someone tried to appeal the case (i.e. my exhusband). Lol I feel foolish having to ask.

They're just letting you know the time limit.  Had your ex appealed you'd have been served other papers regarding the appeal.
