omg this sucks i was eating pizza with the family didn't even feel it break till i bit something hard and it was 1/4 of one of my molars! I have no insurance period let alone dental:( wth do i do now
I have the same problem. Just had two surgically removed. If you are in extreme pain I would suggest going to the e.r. Plus, when you have a broken tooth it is more than likely caused by decay which can lead to infection. Get some ice and put it on your face to keep the swelling down if it hurts. Never, ever, ever, use warm or hot water. It will exacerbate swelling and make the pain worse.
a molar is cheaper to have removed with local numbing over major dental work and no one will even know its gone I am missing one you can't even tell.. And I also had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out with only using novocain its not that bad, just breath and relax.......

that's just it i don't get it, i figured it would hurt but so far no pain *knock on wood*
They usually don't hurt when they first break. Some of mine did and some didn't. You should still make sure that there isn't an infection because it can lead to abscesses. Unless you start to run a fever, I would say rinse your mouth out with salt and warm water, since it doesn't hurt, that will keep any infection at bay.
