Update 2

My friend's baby Madison stoped breathing last night and is in the hospitle for testing to see what is causing her to stop breathing she is around 4 months old. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers that she will be ok and that this is a one time ocurance!

UPDATE The baby has Wolf-Parkinson-white syndrom thought hat is not what is causing the breathing problems.

Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome (WPW) is a syndrome of pre-excitation of the ventricles of the heart due to an accessory pathway known as the bundle of Kent. This accessory pathway is an abnormal electrical communication from the atria to the ventricles.

There is a monitor that I used with my daughter (as she was a preemie) that helped me sleep better at night. I think it's called bebe Sounds. It was around $100 - not sure what it would cost now. Well worth it regardless. If the baby stops breathing for more than 10 seconds it sends out a high-pitched signal that not only alerts the parent, but generally startles the baby back to consciousness again. Hope this helps!
