Get a humidifier for her room..We have cool ones..they don't really work as well as warm ones...but they do help....

make sure you keep her cool. if she gets hot that will make her cough even more. keep her throat moist so it doesnt get scratchy an triger her to cough ev en more. poor baby. i  know you said shes 4 but shes still a bay to me.lol

Have you tried extra pillows so you can elevate her? I have that same cough and when you lay down it gets worse. Also if you dont have cough drops do you have any candies she could suck on? I know she is only four so maybe break it in half. I gave my son peppermints when he was sick although he is 6 and knows not to swallow them. Also if you have any caffeine free tea (I used lipton tea with honey) add a little bit of milk & sugar and have it warm but not hot. It worked really well for my 2 yr old daughter. Hope some of this helps ... sometimes it does and sometimes the cough is just really bad. Good luck and I hope your little one feels better.

I always give my dd a teaspoon of honey when she gets like that. It doesn't take the cough away but it seems to let her get more rest. Hope your baby gets better!!!!
