I stole this idea from another mommy on here, thought it would be fun!

I have a horrible phobia, emetophobia...

Pretty much I am deathly afraid of nausea and vomiting, in myself and others.

So ask away =)

How do you deal with pregnancy and little ones? I know I was so sick my first preganacy that I lost 30 lbs, and spit-up & vomit are not uncommon in my house....

What happens when you throw up?

Doesn't it make you anxious to even think or talk about throwing up?

Well I didn't have this phobia until my 1st was 1 years old and honestly I still wonder how I have children with this phobia. If I was to have this phobia BEFORE I got pregnant with DS#1, I highly doubt I would have had kids. =(

Well to be quite honest, my husband deals with any of the vomit that happens in this house..(like yesterday my oldest threw up and I was having a major anxiety attack and had to leave the situtation). And I honestly didn't get sick or have any form of morning sickness with my 1st, and with my 2nd I had a little nausea here and there and some acid reflux. But in my 3rd pregnancy, I was sick NON-STOP! I guess I got used to feeling sick and honestly I quit being so anxious about it.

I am also an emet!!!  I hear you!!  Its a very very rough road that almost kept me from having children.  Thank god i had NO morning sickness and when my child is sick I thank GOD have a support network of friends and family who understand my phobia.  My husband is also very understanding and stays on the ship or barricades himself in the bedroom when he is sick.  I hate this phobia!
