so i took my sons temp and it was 94.2. is that normal? hes 7 months old and is teething badley.

how was it taken? rectally, under the arm, with a temporal therm.?

Was it under the arm? Forehead? Ear? Mouth? Rectal?

Take it again, and then continue to take it every few hours. You need to figure out his normal temp. I know mine runs 96.8 and my DD runs around 97. My mom usually runs around 95. Some people just run lower then others. Just take his temp a few times a day over the next couple of days and see what the average is, and then if he ever has a higher then normal temp., even if it isn't "high" by the normal standards, you will know that he is running a fever.

 What kind of thermometer is it? Is it digital? I think you might need to change your batteries...there's no way that's right.

I think the thermometer is broke, take your own temp and see what it says.

It is probably off. Although my normal temperature is 96ish, lol.
