Why do people......
Let their kids *play* in the toy aisle (of store) and destroy the whole section and/or tear up the toys when they have no intention of buying anything.... ? Oh, and then say... *well I know my child didn't do that/break that/ etc*... ?
Why .... people pick up items in the store and when/if they decide they don't want them, place them in areas they know are not correct..... frozen chicken nuggets in the automotive dept.
Why.... scream at the cashier or manager when *your* card is declined. We have no control over it... it's your card. I can't help it if your whole paycheck is setting in the bank and on the card ... our register says no funds. Not our fault, please don't get pissy with us.
I'm sorry your check will not go through. Yes I know you are a regular and have written 10,000 checks here before but the register says denied. ... again, not our faults please don't cuss us out.
We make minimum wage and will do our best to help you but somethings are out of our hands.
Why do people get so nasty and blame us ?
What... we don't have it in stock... well we didn't purposely sell it so you wouldn't get it. We are not guaranteed to have it in stock. Yes I know there was some here yesterday... other people also use it and must have boughten it up. I'm sorry we can not hold it for you when you call ahead, not store policy and I can lose my job...
WHY do people that KNOW the rules, expect you to bend them for them...
WHY do people expect us to babysit their children & watch their teens....
Why do they get mad when we follow said teens or teens that act suspicious, or with hoodies, big purses, thick coats, etc around store because we have a lot of theft..
<sigh> ... why ?
Help me understand.... and what have YOU noticed people doing in the stores that irks you ?

my mom is a merchandise supervisor of the lingerie section of walmart. She hates when people tear open the packs of underwear and socks and just throw them on back on the bottom of the shelf.
Some of those things really bother me too. I used to be a cashier at Wal-Mart so I had to deal with the card and check declines. Or when people can only buy so many of one item, or when it has been recalled and they argue about it still being on the shelf, it's like don't you get it my register will not let me sell it to you calling a manager will not help in the matter! The only thing I do on your list is put stuff where it doesn't belong. I don't put the chicken nuggets in the automotive department though. Cold stuff goes back with cold stuff. But toilet paper in the toy aisle... I would probably do that.

I know ! Its so frustrating when people do that, or they will open a pack of socks with 6 sets in it and just steal one pair and throw the rest back on the shelf in that same bag...
The same with Panties, and packs of T-shirts...
People have stolen TWO douches at different times in the last 2 weeks and left the boxes in the rug dept for us to find. I mean come on, you need a douche THAT bad ??? If so, go to the Dr !

People who usually treat cashiers and managers like crap are usually really mad about soemthing else. When i worked as a waitress and also as a sales girl I was cursed out quite a few times. When I see this in stores now it really irks me because no matter what your job is you should not be treated poorly. What also irks me is when people won't put theur shopping cart away and just let it roll through parking lots right into cars!

Ha ! That was you ?

I went to costco today and this little girl (about 9) was like Dad get water. The dad was like ok and let the girl and her sister (6) go grab a water from the cases of water. I was like Really? OMG. Teaching the kids to steal young.lmao cuz you couldnt buy the 36 bottles for 3:68
I've never worked in a large department store like Walmart. But I do work at the Gap, and I HATE it when people have to pull every damn size out of a folded pile of clothes to look at it. HELLO! You knew what it looked like when you pulled the first one out. The large looks the same, only bigger. If you like the way it looks, then try it on. Don't pull out all the sizes, dump over the whole stack of shirts I just folded, then decide you don't like it, and throw it somewhere over in the boys section. Sheesh. I'm sure it's 10x worse to work at a big department store.
And one of the things that really pisses me off when I'm a customer at Walmart, Meijer, etc., is when people stop in the middle of the aisle to talk AND BLOCK THE WHOLE DAMN THING!! Get out of the middle of the aisle, are you stupid?! I usually make some nasty comment as I detour around. I don't know why, but it just really irratates the hell out of me. :) lol.
why do people always have to bitch about something haha just kidding:)
I don't work at a store and I hate it when kids are making messes in the toy aisles. I hate picking out socks or underwear only to have a hole ripped in the package and items missing. I hate being behind customers that are yelling at the cashiers.
But in all honesty, I am guilty of putting something back where it does not belong. Sorry! Though never refrigerated or frozen items.
MAYYYBEEE.....lol

As a customer I hate when people get so close that they actually hit you with their cart. I also can't stand when other customers huff and puff in line when you need a price check or a problem of some sort.
I used to do some grocery shopping for the school that I worked for. We put the shopping on a special account so the manager would need to come over and fill out a paper. There was a woman standing behind me making all kinds of disgruntled noises. Mind you, it took three extra minutes. So I turned and offered her a cough drop. I said, "wow, would you like a cough drop?" She kind of shrugged and said, "no" I said, "oh, you sounded like you were having a problem, I thought it might clear it up" The cashier put her head down to hide the smirk.
