it has to be too good to be true!

my 21 month old (as of yesterday) has showed signs of being ready potty train for a few months now but every time we've tried to put him on the potty he'd really fight it. So 2 days ago (the day before he hit 21 months) I told my husband that I thought he just needed to get in underwear and wet himself a few times and he'd start going on the potty... So I dug out my older sons old underwear and put them on my middle one... that day he wet himself a few times (and - gross - pooped himself too lol) and then yesterday and today he's been asking to go potty and going! (he was only wet when he got up in the mornings)

it has to be too good to be true - i have to be dreaming! did my not even 2 year old son really just potty train himself in a day?!?!

Isn't it great!!! My son is 2.5 and he still puts up a fight, he does go all day in daycare though so I don't see why he fights me but we're making a lot of progress!!! Congrats to you that is huge!!!!!

he may have to still wet himself a few times, but it is possible. My mom, mind you this was the 70's, used cloth diapers. My sister was potty trained before our older brother was. My momwould use warm water to rinse off their tushy's but when nikki got potty trained and not dave, mom rinsed him in cold water. it was enough to make him go in the potty.

sure is less headache!

we tried the 'cold' pull-ups with Logan (my oldest) and they didn't work for him .... we just had to take him constantly and give him treats until he figured it out
