Black Friday

So who will be going to black Friday?

My husband and I decided we want to go this year. Ive never been, dont think he has either. We were going to go to wal mart, but they are going to be open 24 hours on thanksgiving. So instead we are going to Toys R Us. 

Anybody have any tips, advice, etc?

They will be opening their doors at 12am

We plan on going down there right after thanksgiving dinner, which is currently set at 4 pm. However I am thinking about moving it up to 1pm... so that we can get out of the house sooner.

I go every year except for last year when I was pregnant.  You can still go to Walmart on Black Friday because they sale doesn't actually start until 5 so even if you go a little early, people can not purchase the items for the sale price until 5 am.

As for tips, be prepared to wait in line, no matter where you go at some point you will be waiting in line.  Wear comfy shoes because you will be standing for a LONG time.  Figure out what you want now so that you have a game plan and can get to the things you want.   It is good that you are going with someone, because if you are in line and have to go to the bathroom or need something you can go while the other person holds the line for you.

 There's some good deals out there but the BEST I've seen is a powerwheels at Walmart for $88 originally $270. Unfortunately we live in an apartment and have no room. lol.

good luck. The prime outlet mall is opening at midnight so I will go there at about 10 pm because there are not that much that I will get, toys r us opens at 5 so I need to be there by 2:30 am and then I will hit the mall last ofr a few things.

One of the things that really helps me is a making a wish list beofre I go so I know what I am looking for.

Last year was the first year I went and I am going again this year.  I really, really want to get the trampoline they are selling for $170 and the power wheel for $88, plus a few smaller items that are pretty cheap too.  I am really nervous that I wont be able to get the power wheel and trampoline because they will run out so fast.

wear comfy shoes. and make sure to have your game plan all set out. for me... im going to target to get a few things, sending sis in law to kohls for more, and my mom is heading to wal mart... theres no time for looking around. get what you came to get and get out! then we can head to other stores for casual shopping lol... so we should be done about 10 am lol! im excited!

No, if you're looking for the black friday items they will not be on the floor until about 4:30 or five o' clock and the items will be wrapped tight in black plastic wrap

Really? That is a good deal. 

I was really hoping to find the barbie corvette on sale for cheaper, because we are buying that for our daughter for Christmas. 

Toys r us has said they will be having like 100 more items unlisted in the ads, on sale on black friday.
