I know I'm older than dirt *49 lol....but I cannot see all the fuss over this movie!!!!! There is so much going on in the world right now that it is humorous that everyone seems to be zoning in on this flick! I can't turn on the tv without commercials, talk shows, video clips....etc...........I did see the first movie and it was good but please people look into your homes and get excited about something else....look to something political, emotional etc to spend your energies on...we give Holly Glam too much power....Damn look at how much these stars get for a movie like this...you could feed a large city 3 squares a day for life for what they get for one movie! Not to mention merchandising.........whew....now that I got that off my oversized chest I guess I'll clean something...lol
Oh hush. People like feeling good. Twilight makespeople feel good. Why bitch about that?
lol
p.s. I have never seen or read a single book or movie....
I went to the midnight release and LOVED it. Its good to escape reality for a few hours.

I have a 14 year old daughter. It seems like every 5 minutes I hear a squeal form her over something Twilight related. Her step-mom wanted to take her to the movie (thank God) so I let her.
I agree. I'm 33 and love Twilight and just went to see New Moon last night. There were couple s there were middle age women and men in there . It just depends on your taste and movies. I have to admit That I didn't think it was the movie for me . I just watched Twilight for the first time this past Thursday and had to see New Moon. So pends on the person if they like these kind of movies.

I am a huge Twilight fan, and what's wrong with that? I appreciate everything in life, but sometimes it can get a little stressful, and it's nice having something to read/watch that lets your mind escape reality for a little bit.
If you don't like it, sorry... that's just the way the media works.

I think the lusting part is very creepy. I forget which talk show it was, but the interviewer (a 30-something woman) was talking to that Taylor kid who plays the werewolf (he is SEVENTEEN) and the woman was talking about what a great body he has...I thought it was disgusting.
What if a 30 year old man was saying that to a 17 year old girl?
I have a 16 year old step-son and it just rubbed me entirely the wrong way.

Movie was ok.. alright even. I am sick of seeing women lust after the teen star. YUCK! Have some standards. I guess being a woman (32)... I like MEN, not boys.
i actually fit into the bracket I was watching the news the other day and they said the typical age range of fans was between the ages of 10 and 35. Which was funny because we went to see it yesterday and mydd was still 10 then and i'm 35 lol. She's 11 today by the way. I am a huge fan of the series as well as the movies. already have marked my calendar for the next movie. Do i think its overkill on the "coverage" totally. Advertising I can see why they do that. do they get paid too much yes compared to the $$ i make. compared to what some of the "bigger" hollywood stars they probably make a fraction of that. But I gotta tell its actually kinda nice to having something fun to think about. wtih all the turmoil in the world its nice to have something else to take the focus off of the bad stuff. with all the stress just in my life at the moment it was fantastic to just take the day off yesterday and plan a day around the movie. The best part is having something in common with my dd. To be able to share with her the excitement was Fantastic. We watch all the interviews and coverage we can because its fun. I have a 7 year old as well and she's just as much caught up in the fun as me and my older dd.
I have to agree with you are that point. He's 17 and a baby. Seeing women who are that much older lusting after him or commenting in the way i've seen some do is creepy. He's a good looking kid but he's a kid. I'm a huge fan of both the books and the movies and i think Taylor does a great job as jacob but when we were watching it and hearing all the screams I just kept picturing Shark boy lmao.
