To me slutty is showing your private parts or wearing clothes that to to small for you. If those things are covered then I say you are good. Outside of slutty there is plain and simple not looking good in something. Like if you have a really big butt and your butt cheeks are hanging out your shorts, or if you are flat chested and wearing a tube top that is falling off you you well thats not cute. Anywho I noticed that to different people, different things are "slutty". I don't think that a mom should have to shop at modest moms R us. IF you want to dress modest that's fine but just because I gave birth to children doesn't mean I need to find some of those lee jeans pulled up to my arm pits, and an over sized walmart shirt. Moms can be dressed sexy also. Anywho what is slutty to you? Is is tight pants, short shorts or is it showing your elbows, or arms. I really don't think that inappropriate is the same to everyone. Like someone with a flat butt should look cute in tiny shorts and it would not look nasty. So what kinda outfit to you is slutty.
In my opinion, it's when you look like a street walker. It also depends on your age. When you are over 40 you should not be wearing a shirt that's so low it's barely covering your nipples and fish net stalkings with a mini mini skirt that barely covers your ass cheecks with knee high boots... just my opinion. I guess it also depends on where you are wearing that. A bar is fine, but not the company Christmas party that's more of a formal event. Yes, this is an example from my husband's party last year. He was afraid he was going to get crabs sitting next to her (of course she had to sit next to him).
Okay a skirt with your butt hanging out isnt cute but whats slutty about knee high boots I mean those are the most conservative foot wear one could find. Also fish neyt shotcking can be cute with some outfits.

To appear slutty (which is as different from BEING slutty as appearing smart is from being smart) is wearing clothing that is too tight, too revealing or too age inappropriate. All of those things are subjective. What I think is tasteless, some factions of society may think is absolutely magnificent!
Bottom line is if you care what people think of you, pay attention to what they're saying. If you don't care about what people think of you, don't court their opinions.
Well that doesn't work because one could be total whore and dresses like a nun. I mean more like dresses slutty, not the actual defination of a slut.
