Sorry this may be a little personal but I was reading the other post about ppl getting thousands of dollars & couldn't believe it.

So how much do you normal get back from your tax return? How many kids do you have? Why don't you change your W4 to keep your money thru the year?

We have 3 qualifying kids and got $8200 back...we don't want more during the year as I am a horrible saver...so we like getting back a lump sum...This year should be more as hubby's bonus' and drive pay was also taxed .....

File 0 on w4.We can make it through the year with it this way just fine and when tax reund comes in it kinda like saving without actually doing it because we wouldnt save the extra money during the year.

last year i was shocked out of my mind and got 7500 back combined. Thats because i had my son in Aug 2008, so all year at work i claimed 0 allowances, but on my tax return i could claim him as a dependant. He is my only child and im single.
