I had a breast reduction in June. It went great and I am very happy with my new boobies.
I know that it takes several months after a reduction for the boobs to 'settle' and heal. The thing is, it has been 5 months and my boobs have started having shooting pains in the nip area and the sides , pretty much everywhere. It hurt after the initial surgery and I keep them in a sports bra like he said to almost ALL day and I sleep in one.
Did anyone else here have this problem? It hurts so bad. I have an appointment in December and it's so bad I am thinking about moving it up and seeing if he will give me somethign for the pain, but I wanted to know first if anyone else wenth through pain like this and if it went away quickly?

I agree. There was pain for a little while but it went away and now its back A LOT and maybe, worse because its a shooting pain.
Thank you:)

BUMP
I knew someone who had one done, but we weren't in contact afterwards much(she was just an ex coworker). I think you should bump up your appointment so you can get some answers.
I would get in sooner and get checked out because something could be going on. A friend of mine had this done and the surgeon left gauze inside her breast. Granted, she had issues from the gauze with in weeks after having the surgery. She almost lost her breast because of his mistake.
oh wow! I'm guessing because you said almost, her breast was saved. I am glad! I will call tomorrow and see if they can get me in. I wasn't sure if it was a normal thing fo rbreast surgery or now, because he never mentioned pain like this way back durin pre op and post op appointments.

Yeah, they did but it was close. I don't know what is normal in you case but with this sort of thing i'd rather be safe then sorry.

I had a breast reduction 3 years ago and I know exactly what you are talking about. I attributed it to the nerves trying to re-situate themselves or grow back or whatever they do once so much invasive work has been done. For me the occasional shooting pain lasted for about a year. I haven't had any pains at all since.
Thats a relief. It doesn't seem occasional tho. It shoots and them my breasts throb for an hour. It's intense. Was it like that for you?

It was very quick and certainly didn't throb for an hour. Yours sounds quite different than mine. I would get it checked out if it is bothering you that much.
