We don't even get 2 days where I'm at. If you have your baby early in the morning, you're going home that night.

I had my DD on a Saturday and got to go home on a Monday .The law is that a baby has to stay in the hospital 48 hours after it's time of birth where I live.

I did just fine with mine and the first 2 I only stayed 24 hours. My son I stayed longer due to his circumcision

We only had to stay for 24 hours bc it was a natural birth.

I think 2 days is too long for a normal, healthy vaginal birth. I LOATHED those hospital stays because all the nurses I've ever had were shitty and horrible. I would love to have a baby in the morning and leave that night. I've had both my girls early in the morning and couldn't get discharged until late afternoon two days from then...urg.

Here if you deliver vaginally, the baby has to be 24 hours old before leaving the hospital, that's what I did! This is obviously without any kind of complications!

Unless there is some sort of problem I am not sure why you would need to stay any longer...or want to.

The hospital I delivered in has a 24 hour rule.  I could have stayed longer, but didn't want to with either of my boys.  My daughter was a c-section, I think I stayed for about 3-4 days after she was born.
