is 2 days too short of a stay, obviously cesearans stay longer as do babys or moms with complications, but stays were longer decades ago, do u think the shorter stays are good or bad? just wondering
I had my DD on a Saturday and got to go home on a Monday .The law is that a baby has to stay in the hospital 48 hours after it's time of birth where I live.

We only had to stay for 24 hours bc it was a natural birth.

I think 2 days is too long for a normal, healthy vaginal birth. I LOATHED those hospital stays because all the nurses I've ever had were shitty and horrible. I would love to have a baby in the morning and leave that night. I've had both my girls early in the morning and couldn't get discharged until late afternoon two days from then...urg.

The hospital I delivered in has a 24 hour rule. I could have stayed longer, but didn't want to with either of my boys. My daughter was a c-section, I think I stayed for about 3-4 days after she was born.
