How long do you have to live somewhere before it feels like home?? Not the house but the place (town, city, whatever)
When I know my way around well, I feel at home. Also, if we go somewhere for a few days and come back it "feels like home".
Be thankful for what you have.
it takes me abot a year ..then i am comfortable and know where stuffis and meet people

Ionno lived in Cut Off LA for 2 years and it never felt like home. The second we moved to my home town when I was younger it immediately felt good like we were supposed to be there, that same feeling came rushing back when I moved back here. I don't think there's really a set time, it's either home or it's not.

Our family is little and broken, but still good.
Ive lived in this town for 2 years, and it doesnt feel like home at all. I really want to move back to my hometown but we cant:(

I'm sorry. Maybe it will start feeling like home. are you millitary or is it just another issue that you can't move? If your not military maybe you guys can start to try to save up and make it a plan in the next 5 years? I moved because a hurricane took out my house so we were finally able to, but prior to that we would have never been able to move, it just sucked. I know how sucky it is to live in a place that just doesn't feel right.

well the only time i've lived someplace that wasn't "home" was when we moved to MS, it took me almost a year for it to feel like home. i knew my way around, i knew what north south east and west was (as in people gave directions saying go north on main st and when i first got there i was like WHAT!?), i had friends there etc...and it also helped that we came "home" to visit family and after the long drive back i was like thank goodness we are really home now! then we moved back up to VA again where i grew up so all my immediate family was here as well as a few good friends so it was easy to settle in here.
