Ok, you hit the mega bucks lottery, you've helped out your family, told SO(if you have one) to quit their job, donated to your favorite charity, whatever it is when you hit the lottery. Now, it's time to find a piece of land, and build a house. Tell me where, how big, and all the details.
We move to Tennessee. Find ourselves a huge plot of land thats authorized for residential, about 300 acres. I can compromise though.
Hardwood floors. These are a MUST. And i'd like them in a darker wood. Not that light colored stuff. Blech.
4 bedrooms. Master, 2 kids rooms, and a guest room.
I want a proper sitting room. just a small cozy one with a fireplace, a mantle, and enough room for hubby and i to have a cup of tea in the evenings. And do our christmas celebration there. A living room. A huge kitchen with everything easy to get to, and spacious, not cramped. Maybe marble counters? Nah, something less delicate, i have kids after all. Wooden cupborads. Not painted. And a proper pantry, like a walk in closet. And a trash closet! My parents have one, just a small narrow cubby for the trash can and a broom/dustpan.
Hmmm....a Library(think of the library Beast gives Belle in Beauty and the Beast).
Natural Lighting. Think big windows!
Ok, onto the bathooms. One for the kids, with room to be able to actually put some storage in there. (like a small linen cubby for towels). And a guest bathroom. Same as the kids. The master bathroom though....Wow. I want this HUGE. I want a seperate Shower(big enough for 2) and bathtub. The bathtub won't be your rinky dink tiny bathtub thats in most houses. This will be big and deep. The ultimate bubble bath. And there's plenty of room for hubby to climb in also. Ya know, i might as well have a hottub sized bathtub.
A dining room. Doesn't need to be to big. Just enough for me to navigate around the table without dropping a hot dish on someones head.
A 3 car garage. Plenty of room for our random junk, hubby's tools, and his vehicles and room to work on them.
An office. Just a place where we can put the computer, and a desk, so i can CM in peace, and without being in the way.

sounds nice.....i love dark hardwoods as well i would build one up here in northwest idaho, very craftsmen style with dark natural woods browns/greens with a few acres of grass fenced in with a fire pit, a workshop three car garage 5 bedrooms 3 baths with a finished basement Open floorplan......but i can dream right??? might happen, in twenty years or so unless i do hit the lottery
oh good lord at this point I'd take the 1905 fixer upper right in town. lol! but given the choice I'd take a 3 bedroom on atleast 5 acres, fenced in, 3 car attached garage, 2 story, 2 bathroom, wrap around deck, large front covered porch.
yeah I'd take that. I love old houses to so an already existing house would be awesome an older one. OH I gotta add! The formal dining room. you know the ones in the old houses that can be closed off and such... omg love them. and a large enough kitchen to set up a small table for eating.

Our family is little and broken, but still good.
mmm me and ryne always lay out scenarios like this!
mine would be 8 bedrooms -- everyone would have their own room , no kids would share ...the others would be , computer room , entertainment room and play room
HUGE kitchen! w/ an island , 100's of cupboards
4 bathrooms .. HUGE showers and a HUGE tub
wrap around porch
huge yard (and space to build on more)
hardwood floors
fire place in the master bedroom
1 bay window in every bedroom and the living room
living room has to be HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!
4 car garage
inground pool w/ slide
basketball court (via my SO)
recording studio (via my SO)

Here are a few Ideas as to what my dream home would look like = )

LOL, For the Horde!
Quoting CoastieWifePR:off topic, but I love your avi.
Darn, forgot one thing, I want a wrap around deck, so i can sit in my chair on those cold mornings wrapped in a blanket, sipping coffee with hubby beside me, and watch the sunrise.

5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large yard, heated pool, hug kitchen with a double-oven and large center island, open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets throughout, maybe a garage, surrounding land, so I am not too close too neighbors and state-of-the-art security system!
