How long should I wait between hair coloring?

I colored my hair on Halloween and hate it. I thought about doing it again tomorrow, but I read somewhere forever ago that you shouldn't color your hair more often than 8 weeks or else you'll damage it more over time. Is there much truth to this?

 Ive had to redye my hair before shortly after the first one. As long as its not like bleaching your hair or anything that harsh you should be fine. None of my hair fell out.

Okay thanks. My natural color is the brown in the picture, and I tried to go red but it only dyed a bit darker brown. So, I will try a bit of a brighter red. Here's to hoping. :-)

My hairdresser told me to wait 48 hours.....but....I've colored bleached and colored again within 24 hours and I'm not bald yet...lol  I guess it might depend on hair too.

I had to dye my hair two days in a row once.  I had a friend do the first one and I have thick hair so she missed a TON.  The next day, I had another friend dye it all over agin, just to be sure.  I didn't loose any hair, but since I don't cut my hair often, and the ends were kinda dry already, the bottom three inches of my hair was REALLY dry, but a trim fixed that.

it depends if u are goin lighter or darker, but if you are going darker 2 weeks is ok and its been a while since ur last color so right now its ok to dye it whatever color
