ahha! i thought of mine! i was 15. DH and i only knew each other through school, we were in the same history class (he failed the first year through, he's a year older than me) and were put on a school project together. well after the project i really liked him. i went to a dance with a gf and after the dance went home according to my parents curfew. i texted DH (then just a guy i liked) an address and told him to wait in the alley. that night i snuck out my window after he texted me, as i had done a few times before and never been caught but this was the first time with him. we drove to his friends house which was 45 minutes away and watched some movies and played video games. well my phone didn't have service out there and finally service kicked in and i had like 100 missed calls and messages from my mom. crap i was busted. he drove me home. it was a long 45 minutes back lol. i made him stop a few blocks away from my house so my mom wouldn't see who i was with. and when we stopped he asked "so do you want to go out or something?" lol. it was cute, and i said yes. i walked home and got lectured & grounded. i lied and told my mom i was with someone else (someone she already disliked). she had seen a truck pull into our back driveway (which DH had thought was the alley and then realized his mistake) and she had walked into my room to ask me about it and discovered me gone. well after my grounding was over i started dating DH and when she saw the same truck she questioned me. i was busted again. she banned me from ever talking to or seeing DH again (as if i would listen, how would she really stop that when we sat next to each other in history? lol). yes she was that type of controlling mom. i can understand she was upset with me being with a guy at that age at that time of night and such, but really all we did was watch movies haha. i got into a huge battle with her, and she had banned me from people before but i never really had cared until him, i really really liked him. it ended up she let me date him. and she ended up really liking him, he was "such a sweet kid". and here we are years later married and with a beautiful baby girl. i do wish i would have been smarter about it and just asked him to the movies like a normal 15 year old lol but it is a funny story to tell our kids when they are older...and it's a funny story to look back on.

How I met DH:

One of my girlfriends was telling me about this new guy to the group that I just had to meet. My mom was about as controlling as yours was (I was 17 at the time ..) and had to be home by 10. At 10 my friend picked me up and we went out to the house that everbody partied at. There he was. I didnt' think he liked me at first but .. obviously he did! We got along .. and as the night went on, we both got progressively drunker. My bad decision was getting so drunk that I threw up. (Was the first time I'd drank that much alcohol) Dh came into the bathroom and says "So you're probably never drinking again huh." To which I reply "Screw that! I'll drink again tomorrow!!" How cute. In my drunken stupor makes him fall in love with me. Hahaha. A diffrent friend then offers to give me a ride home (It's about 6 AM by this point) Dh decides to go with, so he can get McDondalds breakfast. Guess who was so excited to go that they forgot their keys inside the house! Bingo, thats me! I ring the doorbell at my house (remember, i'm supposed to be in bed sleeping..) and nobody answers the door. ever. I'm super drunk still, falling off my porch, and have to sleep at a friends house. I set my alarm for 9 AM so I can get inside before my mom wakes up .. but it never went off. About 10 AM I woke up to about a zillion missed calls from my mom. She was a little bit more than irate. I had to get home, and was forced to take a trip to her that was a 4 hour trip, when I was going to be able to stay home before. Gahhh sneaking out one night was the best and worst decision of my life. I was grounded forever, but when I was ungrounded Dh and I started hanging out (which is another story all in itself..). A couple of months later I was telling him how bad it was not being able to get into my house when he says "The entire time I was thinking ' can't we just leave her??! I really want mcdonalds!!" Haha! How kind. =]

lol he's so thoughtful haha. my first time getting off my ass drunk i was with my gf (same gal as in the previous story) and her roommate. we went to a guys house that she knew and he mixed us up some drinks at the bar in his basement. well after a couple mixed drinks we go upstairs. after my drink went empty he told me to go mix my own...it was my first time mixing anything...so i just threw in a bit of everything (all alcohol no "filler"). i went back upstairs and sat on a stool with no back. i thought the wall was behind me. after i was almost done with my drink i leaned back to get the last bit out and fell backwards off the stool. i was gone. i remember some flashes of that night (her roommate holding my hair back, DH carrying me to the car, DH force feeding me water at home on the couch). it was an awful night. DH thought i was going to die :( the next day i had to go back to that house and pick up my shoes, shirt...and purse. yeah it was bad lol.

my husband came home from walking our dog one morning and informed me that the neighbor's cat had been hit by a car. must have just happened too because kitty was still in one piece.

of course, being a mother my first thoughts are of the children. so i ask the hubby if he moved the cat.

and like any man... he says " no it's not my problem... blah blah blah"

i get pissy and decide to go move this cat so the kids don't wake up to find their beloved kitty smashed to pieces in the road.

now mind you... it's a 90 degree day in rhode island.. mid august. the humidity is up around 95% it's hot and nasty!

i go down the road and sure enough... there is a beautiful orange tabby dead in the road.

so i bag it up into a black lawn bag and write a note.. placing the bag on the porch behind their garbage can.

  the note reads....

to whom it may concern, we are very sorry we came across your cat this morning in the street. we did not hit her, but rather found her and did not want your children to find her. we are very sorry.... your kitty is bagged up behind your garbage cans out of site.

sincerely, michele........  at XXXXX grove street.

did my good deed right? lol... yeah... not so much.

later that day, around 5 p.m.... my cousin picks me up so we can go out for coffee.

we drive by the neighbor's house and what do i see?

THEIR ORANGE TABBY ALIVE AND WELL SLEEPING ON THE OUTDOOR A.C UNIT!

omfg..... i put a dead stray cat, into a garbage bag on an almost 100 degree day... placed it on their porch, told them their cat was dead...AND LEFT EVIDENCE OF MY IDIOCY IN A LETTER TAPED TO THE FRONT DOOR!

so those poor people wake up to find my note... think their cat is dead, open that bag to find a random stray left there by their overly concerned neighbor.

i was soooooo embarrassed!  i refused to walk by their house for 5 months... until they moved!

2 glasses of wine. 5 Shots of Patron. 2 Bahama Mamas. 2 shots of Grey Goose.

BAD IDEA.

There are pictures of that night that I have no recollection of taking...let alone actually KISSING the fire hydrant and other crazy shit I did.
