I have a 2 month old baby boy will be 3 months on the 1st of december....anyways, when i brought him home from the hospital he would sleep during the day...for almost any where from 2-3 hours even sometimes maybe 4 hours at a time...then he would wake up i would change him if he needed it...feed him, and he would lay down again....well for about the last 2 weeks he hasn't been laying down during the day...he would eat, and fall asleep in your arms, and when you think he is asleep and think your going to lay him down he will be wide awake....he will sleep at night from anywhere to four to five hours...depends on when he will fall asleep..but i don't know why he does not want to lay down during the day....i have tried the baby swing, bouncy seat, and just leaving him lay on the floor when he is awake and try to get a few things done around the house, he will lay there for a little bit, and will start crying and think you need to pick him up.......****he is being breastfeed****i have never had this problem with my other kids, so idk what the problem could be.....****my mil thinks when i was pregnant with him, i was so worried about things****because my oldest son is in the military, and i was worried about him, and then i ended up bleeding when i was 5 months pregnant***she thinks with all this going on, kinda put some stress on him.....does anybody have an idea what i can try or what do you all think.....***also he does not care for the ride in a car either...so don't suggest taking him for a ride and let him fall asleep that way. cause when he does fall asleep in the car, as soon as you carry him in, he is awake.....

I thought it was just mine.  My son will be 3 months on December 7th.  Maybe they're just settling into a new rhythm.

I hope you find some tips. My 5th baby was a horrible sleeper. She co-sleeps with hubby & I now & is almost 3 years old. With my older 4, they slept on their tummies & by the time my last baby was born it's not advised. If I was to do it over, I'd try laying her down on her tummy. I don't know if it would of mattered or not.

Babies come out used to being held. We swaddled our youngest until she was 6mos old. So that once we had her asleep we could put her down w/out her knowing she wasn't being held anymore. I also had a baby wrap that I would put on so I could get some stuff done around the house.  As you can tell I personally don't like letting my kids cry it out, but some say you have to teach them to self soothe. Mine do learn how to self soothe, it just around 7-8 months. Good Luck!

Oh yeah... my swaddled DD hated the car! She's better now about it.

All three of mine have gone through that at some point. I don't remember what I did with the older two. My newest is a month old and we pick her back up and rock her back to sleep and keep trying. She usually takes naps in her carseat,in her car seat I can gently rock or bounce her, occasionally she has falllen asleep on the floor on her belly with me sitting next to her, but I don't usually let her do that.
