We all know usually movies made from books miss the mark and suck but sometimes they are successful. I think interview with the vampire was agreat movie and stayed true to the book, keeping all the important parts without being overly long. And the actors werea ll perfectly cast too. Also the movie disclosure with demi moore and michael douglas is based on a novel and I read and saw them both when I was 14 and thought the movie was exactly like the book. I should read/watch again since that was 16 years ago lol. So what movies from books do you think were spot on?

Jurassic Park.  Not exactly true to the book because they left a lot out but still a great movie.  They did add parts they missed from the first book in to the 3rd movie, like the pterosaur aviary.

The Shining. Not Stanley Kubrick's version, but the newer Stephen King's The Shining. When he re-did that movie it is close to being dead on.
