My kids already had the H1N1 flu...is there really a point in vaccinating them for it?? I really see no need because the body has already built up an immunity to it so what's the point?? Has anyone else HAD the H1N1 flu and STILL got vaccinated for it???

if you are one of those overly annoying people, who seem to get offended over every little thing, and like to pull out the "judgemental" card....please, do not quote me.  i don't pay attention to stupid and i do not deal with whiners.

get yourself a tissue, grow up, and move on.  and have a great day.  :-)

I would only feel comfortable if they were actually tested for the H1N1...which most people who "had it" weren't.

Wait people are actually vaccinating kids who have already been exposed? Why?

That seems really pointless.

H1N1 or regular seasonal flu. I do not see a point.

I feel the same way.. I'm  fairly sure they have already HAD it because they had pretty much every symptom, high fever, horrid cough, sore throat, everything. But I wanted them to test them just so I knew they had it KWIM but they refuse to test anyone anymore unless of course they are hospitalized... So its kinda a lost cause..

And that really stinks because then you are only left guessing....which just isn't fair. A friend of mine was in the same position...she even offered to pay out of pocket at that minute for the test, but it was a no go. She did end up giving them the vaccine, since she couldn't know for sure.

Since its so much like the regular flu I can see why people (medical professionals) wouldn't need to test for it because its pretty much treated the same way (that is if you can get a professional to prescribe Tamiflu to you).. I know I got tested for it ONLY because I have asthma. If they aren't willing to test everyone, they shouldn't have made such a huge deal about it.. That's how I feel anyways.

my children have been exposed to several children who had it at school. They've had mild cold symptoms and regular flu. I see no point in vaxing the for H1N1 being they've already been exposed to it.
