I think it's the same whether u bf or ff. I am pretty sure it's 4 months. That's what I read the other day anyway. My little one is 9 weeks and things have changed too much since the others were babies.

i started mine at 4 months because i felt she wasn't eating enough with just the formula, but recomended schedule from my DR and WIC is 6 months.

I had planned on delaying solids but I ended up giving him my own home made baby food when he was around 6 months.

At 8 months, we started feeding him the home made baby food for lunch and dinner every day in addition to his formula.

At 10 months, I began to introduce meat and dairy to his diet.

At 11 months, he hit a growth spurt so we introduced carbohydrates. At this point, we also began to introduce hemp and rice milk.

At 12 months, we took him off of formula and since then, he is ravenously hungry all the time. We are working with our NP and his pediatrician to figure out if we should put him back on formula or if I just need to feed him different foods.

The WHO, Unicef, the US Department of Health & Human Services, the AAP, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Dietetic Association, the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council, the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and Health Canada all recommend that babies not be given solids until they are six months of age.
