Car Insurance PIOG

What car insurance company do you use?  We just bought a new car and are getting our own car insurance for the first time (his dad's name was on the title of our old car so it was just cheaper to pay for it through them) and I have no idea where to start!  My husband drives his car about 150 miles a day and we have a loan on it so I know we need/want full coverage on that but I don't know how high/low the deductibles should be.  My car only goes maybe 50 miles a month and we own it outright so we will just get the bare minimum on that.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!  Oh and we also called our local agent that deals with a lot of different companies but the woman there basically said (without actually saying it) that we could get a cheaper rate somewhere else.

We use American Family.  Those commercials you see for cheap insurance are actually much higher than respectable companies.  Plus having a local agent they will work with you much more and help you when they can

I use a local company. I would go to 2 or 3 of them and decide who has the best price.

Go online...or even use the phone...contact several different Insurance Co.'s for Quotes.

DH had State Farm for over 15 yrs.....we just recently switched to ALLSTATE...same coverage..and we are saving $50 a month.

We have Full coverage...a $500 deductable....extra  glass coverage....

The model of the car...and the yr will make a difference in the costs for you...as well as what amenities the car offers......ABS brakes....car alarm.....stuff like that. The area you live can affect it as well.

With progressive do you have to pay 12 months? I went on line to see what their prices were...and it was a decent price. but it was 12 months...which made it not so good of a price. Is there another option?

I work for an allstate agent as a licensed sales consultant so if you have any questions you can send me a message. The main draws about allstate and 1. accident forgiveness and 2. loan gap (if you total your car in the first 3 model years you get a new car).

We use State Farm and have been very happy w/them.  We have a $500 deductible.  Just make sure you shop around and find what works best for you.  We get a big discount because we do everything w/them.

They automatically debit my account every month for our payment. I also had the option to pay every 6 months.
