Help, before I scrub my face off! lol

I have no idea what else I can do and this is driving me crazy! I use facial moisturizers, and it still happens

My nose and my forehead stay really dry and when I put makeup on it looks like Ive been burned and I am starting to peel (like from a sunburn). What can I do to help this or get rid o it?

I feel like I have tried everything out there and yet it still happens.

I have that problem too. Especially in winter.

I buy a little scrub pad in the makeup/cottonball area of the store. They make packages of disposable ones with 30 or so in a box. They are about 2x2 inches square.

Gently use one in the shower or at the sink with a circular motion to remove the dead skin cells. Try washing in cooler water. The hot water strips the oil from your skin. Don't use anything drying. If you use a toner, don't let it air dry! Blot it off so it doesnt' strip the oil. Then use your moisturizer.

I wouldn't use face powder. I hardly use any makeup anymore because I always looked flakey and then oily in other areas. I might use a concealer under my eyes, mascara and a cream blush as opposed to a powder. I'm flaky right now too with the winter weather and the heat in the house. It's just one of those things!

You might also want to try one of those scrubs with beads that help remove the dead skin cells.

Hope something here helps!

Are you using a toner?

Maybe your skin moisturizer is no longer a match for you. I started using Beauti Control and I finally found a line that I dont have problems with. I was a firm Clinique user and I was also a Clinique consultant at Dillards, I like it but it was just OK. It was until I found Beauti Control that I was 100% satisfied, for once a product met and exceeded my expectations.

ETA: Their skin care lines are set in ages: 20s, 30s, 40s, 50+, sensitive skin, and acne. They all come with wash, toner, moisturizer and some with a mask depending on the needs of the skin. They work together in perfect harmony. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I BUY FROM THE DRUG STORE OR EXPENSIVE DEPARTMENT STORE.

I have the same problem.  I skip the powder because that tends to make it worse.  I use OLAY with the little green beads in it...I also use mosturizers.  For the most part it works...but then again, it is not 100% fool proof so I will be looking at other responses as well.

I normally just use oil of olay for my face but this winter my face is soooo dry and nothing is helping. I'll look into it, thanks!

No problem - may I also suggest a moisture mask to help with your winter skin.

Ummm no no no.... Beauti Control is on its own.

I worked for Clinique and used it for many many years. I'm saying I prefer Beauti Control 10 times over clinique because I found it to be 10 times better.
