My mom threw me one with my daughter, and I just had my second baby shower last Sunday. I never had to ask..my mother in law came up and asked if she could throw me this one since my mom threw my first one. I am having a boy this time, but even if I was having a girl i think i still would have had one. This is most likely our last baby and i am very glad they both had a party to celebrate their arrival! =D

I have had 2, one with my first baby and one with my fourth.  But here is why.

Obviously I had one with my first because she was my first LOL that part is easy :p  I was married and had 2 more daughters after that.  Then my marriage went down hill and I ended up getting a divorce. (had 3 daughters at that time)

Then a few years later, I met a wonderful man, who had never been married and had no children.  I was very leary at first....but he said he knew what he wanted and what he was taking on and I needed to let him worry about it. (me being 4 years older than him divorced with 3 children, him never being married and having no children).  But he was persistant and I am glad he was, because imo I am one of the luckiest women around to have such a wonderful husband now.

Well we aggreed that we would have 2 more children.  So by the time we had our first (4th for our family) it had been 7 years since I have had an infant in the house and had LONG ago given away anything baby related that we might need.  So my grandmother threw me a babyshower.

We recently had our 2nd (5th and last for our family) and did not have a babyshower, because we still had everything from our 2 yr old...and since they both were girls, we were set!
