So we are having a family gathering. I buy and make everything. Its my gift to the family since we are better off financially then the rest when it comes to affordability. If they want to bring something; they can but i don't expect them to. Half the time they all like it this way; come to eat; go home.
My mom in law wants me to make macaroni salad. I told her i didn't feel like making it myself but she was more than welcome to make it. Well she didn't get what i said because she bought over all the stuff for me to make and just said i like it cold. My mom in law has some issues going on so i know its going to be hard for her to make, so I'll just woman up and do it for her since its apparent she wants it so badly.
But i have a ton of other things to do, clean, pies, cakes, fudge, pumpkin rolls, i don't know if i can make all that on Wednesday let alone add macaroni salad on top of it.
I would make it now; but my DH would eat it if i do. I can't trust him with anything that is in the fridge.
So when do you all start your prep work? I swear i think i am going to be up all night Wednesday getting shit done.

My prep is going to be done on Thursday(Thanksgiving Day) and the dinner will be Friday....(DH has duty on Thanksgiving), im going to brine the Turkey, prepare the sides, and then when dh gets home Friday morning im going to put the Turkey in the oven....and then do the sides.....i cant wait!!!

I made my pumpkin dinner rolls on Friday and stuck them in the freezer
Wed I will make my cheesecakes and Southern Comfort Sweet Potatoes and get the yukon golds peeled and boiled. Everything else can be preped Thurs morning and refrigerated until it is time to bake/warm

I do most of my prep work on Wed. Any sides that can be just warmed up I do. Such as stuffing sweet potatoe casserole, brocli casserole bread things like that I do wed.. The turkey and ham I do thursday and the rest of my sides and desserts!! Can not wait getting hungry NOW!!!!
