Hi Ladies! I have a bit of a silly question---
We're in the process of buying our first home along with all of the necessary appliances. (washer, dryer, fridge, oven) We're trying not to spend a huge fortune!!! Anyways, I'm looing at/comparing freestanding electric ovens. Do any of you have a double oven? At first I never even considered it (a lot of money!) but then I was reading a bit more....It seem as though it would be quite handy when cooking a small amount of food (which is what I tend to do the most). It's significantly more money but Im wondering if it would be worth it....energy savings?? (Only heating up a small oven saves on electricity, right?!) What do you ladies think? Any preferences? I would really like some advice on this!!
Our original choice---- $749
My more recent "dream" perhaps?--- $1099

We had a double oven in our previous house and I really liked it. I am not sure on energy savings, but I am sure that it would save that amount over time. The main reason why I like them is because you can cook two things at the same time without the smell of the one on the other, at different temps. SO you can cook scalloped potatoes and cherry cobbler without having to worry how you are getting them all done
I would be happy with either one because my oven is awful but if i could i would go for the double oven.
