Yep, frequently. Especially when Lord of the Rings came out. We'd meander right off the campus, hop a bus and go "poof!" It was a good time.

I never skipped school without my parents permission lol I wasn't that brave. We lived in a small town and my parents knew like everyone so we always got caught doing bad things. lol

My favorite skip was going to the Harry Potter 3 screening at the movie theater me, my sister, my boyfriend, and a friend worked at. We skipped school to be the only 4 to see it before it came out! AWESOME! lol

yeah but with my parents permission, if i made honor roll in high school (honors classes) i was allowed one mental health day per semester. i think that is fair, i am a teacher now, and i have 10 sick days. we go for 10 months a year... so that matches up pretty well. my rents got the idea from my friends dad... it was about the only nice thing he ever did.
