I Need Your HELP!!!! *TMI*

I have a two-year-old daughter who is still in diapers.  In the past couple of days, she has been sticking her fingers in her diaper, touching herself, and then either licking or smelling her fingers.  We immediately tell her to stop and wash her hands, but she's the type of child where saying "no" encourages her behavior.

Normally, for things like nose-picking, we just ignore the unwanted behavior and hope she stops.  But this is bad for her health.  Does anyone have ANY advice??

Maybe she's ready to potty train? I used to babysit a little girl about two years old and when she started to do that, her mom potty trained her and it worked. I hope this helps.

she is ready, and she has been potty-trained.  she was at the point where she was using it on her own for days w/o accidents.  then all of the sudden, she refused to sit on it and hasn't since.  its sooo frustrating.

She may have a yeast infection. I'd get her checked (Oh, I just remembered.. I think I saw a commercial for OTC kits to test for yeast infections?).

My daughter was doing something similar. She'd touch herself and then smell her fingers.. but she kept doing it. I asked why. She gave me the oh so predictable "I dunno" answer. So I asked does it hurt? Does it smell good? Does it smell bad? What?? She said it smelled good. I took her to her doctor the next afternoon and sure enough she had a yeast infection. Odd that it would smell good to her.
