Hi there -
I am new to cafemom! I am also new to being a stay at home mom. I was recently let go from my job due to a corporate restructuring. I am loving this new role! Most of my stressors have now gone away. I am trying to focus on being a good shopper -- lots of coupons! And trying to cook, clean, etc alongside caring for my 6 month old (very active) son.
I would love any help/advice on how to keep him busy, on great recipes, and on how to save wherever possible. I am collecting unemployment currently and am focusing on going back to school to obtain my teaching certificate. I am very excited! I can't wait to become an elementary teacher.
And it goes without saying that I would love to meet other moms who share similar interests. Thanks! Well that's enough about me. I will try to post some more pics of my cutie pie sometime this week.
Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
Mel
Hi, I'm Chelsey. Welcome to Cafemom. First let me tell you that in the post CAFEMOM FAQ's, there is a list of abbreviations you will need.
I'm also a SAHM, my son is an active 5 month old. When we get up in the morning, he will watch tv and sleep for about 3 hours. After that he gets fed and a bath. Another nap then a walk, feeding, playtime. Then we watch General Hospital and that's when our day ends because daddy comes home.

Hi Chelsey -
Thank you for the nice welcoming! Thx for the update re: list of abbreviations. I will need to peruse that for sure.
Your son is beautiful (or handsome rather). Thanks again for some additional ideas on how to keep the little guy busy! With the cruddy weather on its way I think ourwalks will be cut soon. ;O)
Talk to you soon. Have a Happpy & healthy Thanksgiving!
Mel
