I bought this hair blower in a thrift shop but it smells like it's burning...
It smells like smoke for the initial start of the blower but then it goes away eventually. I am not a hair dryer person so I am not sure if this is normal since it is emitting great heat hence the smoke smell? I am just scared that it might all of a sudden just explode on my face while using it.
Easy solution...don't use it. You might want to consider investing in a new one...you can get one cheap from Walmart...
I'd toss it. That sort of stuff is just better to buy new, and not from a thrift shop KWIM

I agree with PP see if it needs to be cleaned out. I had an old one in the closet that got dusty, and when I cleaned it out it worked fine. If it is clean, and still smells like its burning then it probably is, and I would throw it away. You can get a new cheap one for about $10.

no it is not normal but on either thursday friday or saturday dollar general will have hair dryers for 5 dollars check the online ad for help
wow! thank you! I take a shower now at night because the bathroom traffic in the household in the morning is kind of driving me crazy. But I have to hair dry my hair so I could join my son on the bed and read him his books lol. Thanks again!
