My son will be 1 next month and still nurses alot. Well his top 2 teeth came in a few days ago and when he nurses I can feel them rubbing on my nipple. It is starting to make my nipples really sore and hurt when he eats.

Is there any way I can correct this? He has his 2 bottom teeth also and I don't feel them.

It usually takes a couple days for the LO to get adjusted to nursing with the new teeth.
It should get better soon :)

Thank you! I hope so because it is starting to feel like it did when he was born!

Yep :)  Give it a little while and then it'll be fine again.  Usually takes about a week for me.

I agree. This happened with both my my kids. It goes away after a while. Just make sure your LO isn't biting you or anything and unlatch him if he's not actually drinking. Sometimes when they're teething, they use you as a teething ring and that can hurt.

I agree, give him a little bit of time and he should adjust. I know my 15 month old still does this when nursing. I have also found that if you position them so that their head lies back a little farther its not so bad.

It took my son about 2 weeks to get used to the teeth and nursing correctly, if you feel he is biting on purpose remove him from the breast and say no biting touching his teeth with your fingers, but if its not purposely give it a bit of time

DD is 21 months now, not done teething or nursing! It gets better, but every new tooth comes with a learning period!
