Please help me... Kidney stone question

I am worried I may have kidney stones or something. I have been having frequent urination, it burns sometimes, and the worst is severe pain in my middle back mostly on the left side but on both sometimes. It is now radiating around to my sides like my ribs a little bit. I have taken motrin but it didn't help. I have to go to work in 10 minutes. :( This really sucks. I don't have any insurance and no money to go to the doctor until next monday. Also, maybe TMI but I am on my time of the month.. how do you know if you have blood in your urine if its that time of the month?

I love my girls, Madison and Isabelle and my husband Sam more than anything in this world! :)

It's really tough to tell if you have blood in your urine when you are on af the only thing I can tell you is drink lots of pure cranberry juice and water there are also these pills at your local gnc for bladder and kidney infections they are all natural and work wonders I was in your same boat about a year and a half ago and I was fine within a day or so I still had to pass kidney stones but they were small still very painful though. good luck mama hope you get well soon :)

The only advice I can give you is to drink cranberry juice, and if by chance you have pain pills take those as needed.  I always have pai pills due to having kidney stones (I have had them since march 2008 they are still there) I also have kidney disease.  Rest when you are able to.  I hope you feel better!

I think if you use a tampon and then urinate you would be able to tell a little easier...

Ha! Made you look!

IF they are still large enough for you to see when they come out, the look kinda whiteish, and can really be any shape. I had kidney stones, and i was doubled over in pain, and i have a high pain tolerance, but i know everything affects everyone differently, but sounds like you might just have a bladder infection. Yes drink plenty of cranberry juice, and tons and tons of water, both of those will help flush a kidney stone out, as well as help with any infection.

And to your question how do they tell? If its just a clean catch (you clean and pee in a cup) they really cant tell even cleaning really well you will still have blood present, only if they cath you can you tell.

You will either see them in the toilet or when you wipe if they are really small they are kinda like little crystals I guess is how I would describe them lol but they are very hard and gritty if small.

It sounds like a kidney infection. I have had kidney stones several times. Honey, you'd be on the floor bawling if it was a stone. You might also be puking and having bloody urine.
