I do always put it in the cart thingie.  However, it really makes me grumpy when I have to walk over a couple of parking lot aisles to the cart thingie.  I have been ever so tempted to just plop it right in the middle of the lot.  Grrrrr!

I'm lazy and try to always park as near to a shopping cart corral as possible,lol.

It really depends if I have my kiddos, and it's just me. I'm not gonna leave them in the car alone to take the cart back. But if it's just me, or Hubby and I, I always return the cart.

Hmm, I must be the only one who takes it back to the store. It's a game for me and Ava. We run back.

I always return the cart, either to the cart corral or yes I will take it back in the store if it is closer.  But then I also try and make it a point to park close to a cart corral or the store, LOL.

I always put the stuff in my car quick, take my kids with me to put the cart away and then bring them back to the car with me if its too far away. If everyone that had their kids with them didn't put their carts back, it would cause problems.

Here they make you put $1 (coin in canada) in the damn thing so pretty much everyone returns it LOL

I always take it back. I have had my vehicle damaged by stray carts being pushed by the wind.
