So Frustrated with Mom!!!

O.k My DD is going to be one one Wednesday, the day before thanksgiving. I decided to combine her birthday party and Thanksgiving on the same day.  All the most important people in her life will be there already.

O.k here what I'm so frustrated with my mom about, today me and DH went out to buy DD birthday gift and party stuff.  We do not have a whole lot of money, plus my mom has bought DD so much toys and clothes that she does not need anything really.  

So all i got her for her birthday was 4 books that were a dollar each, and one of those toy that you push down on the handle and the arrows moves around in a circle, and it tells you what animals it is and makes the animal sounds. That it for her birthday, well my mother calls asking me about if she should get this art table for DD, since she like to draw and such...I tell my mom that  i do not have room in my house for something that big.

She then proceeds to tell me, that she feels soo bad for DD because she has a small room, and that i need to move to a bigger house. She went on to say she will buy it, and keep it at her house and buy her something small she can keep at home.

 Then when she finds out what i gotten for DD she goes on to tell me is that all you are getting her, which made me feel bad. That all i could afford, not including i still planning on getting her Christmas present.

I just figure that she will be getting gifts form both grandma's and her godmother. 

I just wish she did not make me feel bad on  what i got for DD. It's not much but we did it with love

I knovv it can be hard. I think sometimes our prents feel bad for stuff they didnt give us or do, so they try to make it up vvith the grandchildren. Hang in there.
