Greatest gift for your child

this is a great gift to give your child in the future. Write your child a letter now. tell them how much you love them, what you hope for their future and let them know what the world is like now. then take the letter and mail it to them now. when it comes back to your address then take the letter and put it away until a special moment later in life (such as..wedding,graduation or birth of their child). it will be something special from you to them and they will have history.(the stamp post marked). this may sound silly to some but i loved it for my children.

aaaawwww, great idea...

Stay away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.   Mark Twain

My husband and I have each written a letter every year on our dd's birthday and we're putting them in our safe.  My mother has written a couple too.  It's a great idea.  DH even made a couple of CDs of her favorite music, so years from now she'll know she loved the Beach Boys when she was 3!

The only appropriate attitude for man to have about the big questions, is not the arrogant certitude that is the hallmark of religion, but doubt. Doubt is humble and that is what man needs to be, considering that human history is just a litany of getting shit dead wrong. - Bill Maher
