I'm doing a research project for school, and your help would be so appreciated.  Let me also add that this is for intimate couples, and not child abuse.  Although both are awful, my paper is on intimate partners.

The damage from emotional abuse can be just as bad, though, and leave lasting scars, whereas bruises and cuts will heal.

The ladies at the domestic violence shelter told me that domestic violence affects people from all walks of life and even some guys are abused by their spouses.

I was a kid..... all the way up through 2nd grade.

It's amazing how people don't hold themselves to the standards they set for others.

And, to a large extent, you're right.  From the research I've done, however, I've found there to be a strong correlation in the lack of wealth and education for abusers and victim alike.  I'm trying to find out how drastic it is.
