OK - I'm going to vent here because if I do this on facebook, I will piss off a bunch of my friends!!
Facebook is SO not the place to shove your religious views down everyone's throats!! I have several friends who have "found God" since I last knew them. Now they are posting all sorts of crap about their religious views all over my facebook page!! I think religion/faith is a personal issue - I HATE seeing posts about God and how we should all be taking him into our lives on my FB page!!! How do I delicately tell these friends that I don't want to see any more of their posts on God/religion and how we should all be following what they believe???
If you don't like seeing it then just delete them as friends. It's a public forum and they have the right to post whatever they want even if it's annoying as long as they don't break any of FB rules.
You know you're a mom when you realize
that you're living for the same person you'd die for,
My children.
Now see I don't get offended by the religious posts I get annoyed with all the ones who still want to talk about how drunk they got last night or wanting to get drunk soon....it's so silly!! You can always block those peoples updates. My DH had to do that with some people.
That was my question too...if its on their wall I think there is an option so you don't have to share their wall...problem solved.
If they are posting in YOUR wall...well they didn't care about offending you so I would just tell them how you feel.
Quoting cmb121906:
They are posting religious stuff on your personal page or are the posting it on their page and it just shows up on yours> If it's the 2nd one, idk what to tell you besides deleting them off your list. If it's the first one, just tell them.
I don't know I see tons of things on facebook that coudn be irritating but honeslty it dosent bother me. I mean you can easily skip over things you don't want to see so just do that. Now if the shoe was on the other foot and I was getting a bunch of post about something I didn't want to see then I would delete them, however if they are suppose to be my friends then I would just get over it friends will believe things that I don't and what kinda friend would I be if I deleted them because they posted something I don't agree with. KWIM?

I have one friend who posts really horrible political crap all day, and another who takes pictures of people and makes fun of them with his friends. Since I care to see neither of their posts, I just put them on hide so I don't even see it.
If they are posting it on your wall, then I would politely ask them not to post their religious views on your wall. If they can't respect that, then delete them.
Its their page. They can post what they want. If you don't like it, remove them as friends.

I don't get offended by other people's beliefs.. it's a waste of time. If they're simply passing on some well-wishes towards you, then really is it worth it to get upset? I mean, take the positive vibes. ..and don't stress about how they originated.
