I had another seizure....after going two months without one. At least, we think that is what it was. I'm kinda new to this. I usually know when one is coming.....I feel really dizzy and the rooms spins. It usually happens within 10-15 minutes, although I had never remember any of it. I always wake up with DH standing over me....
This time, IDK what it was. I was cooking dinner, and got that dizzy feeling and told my DH. I sat down on the couch to relax, just waiting. Ten minutes go by, and I'm still just feeling dizzy, but my senses are heightened. I could actually hear my DD in the kitchen chewing. DH was rubbing my back, and I was jumping everytime he touched me. Wow wow wubbzy was on the TV....and I could hear all the background noise. It was just the strangest thing.
And then DH asked "Why are you twitching like that?" I didn't feel like I was twitching......my body just feel really, really tense. I just told him to shut up...because he was getting on my nerves.
I sat there it seemed forever waiting to get back to normal. When I did, I looked at DH and asked him WTH? He said I was moving differently than my other seizures. He said it almost looked like I had parkinson's. (Not saying I do, it was his way of describing my movements)
I called and left a message with my DR.....he had already left the office for the day. He is going to call me tomorrow.
My question is, do any of you know if it's possible to have a partial seizure? I mean, I normally have no memory of it, but this time I was fully awake and talking.
I also need to praise my DH.
DH not only took DD2 to her girl scout meeting, but he took DD1 into town so she could buy cookies to take to school. Then he came home, gave DD2 a bath, cleaned the kitchen and did a couple loads of laundry.
I love them all so much. I just hate letting them down b/c of all this.

Wow, That was a seizure hun... full out. Infact, it might be termed a Petit Mal. You are there, but you're not... and you feel irritated etc. It's similiar to what you imagine a Diabetic feels when their blood suger crashes ie: Shelby in Steel Magnolias in the salon scene before the wedding.
Please promise me you are NOT DRIVING.
That is all I ask, oh and get help of course... Google Seizures there is some scary info, but some good stuff too. It all helped me when DD had her first set of seizures
But why was I awake for this one? I normally "lose conscious" I never remember what happened. This one, I did.
I had quit driving for awhile, but we thought we had them under control with the new meds and I have left the house a few times since then. I very rarely leave the house anyway. I think I better stop driving again...huh?

There are many different types of seizures. Maybe you have more than one kind? The last one I saw on someone they just had a blank stare. She wouldn't talk to us, just stared off and her DH couldn't even get her to respond. I believe it lasted for about 2 min, but it felt like much longer because we didn't know what was wrong.
I do the blank stare thing too....but we thought that was cause by my narcolepsy.
I guess it's possible for me to have more than one kind....but it just scared me. I think we have them under control, and then BAM!! Another one hits, that's different. DH has always said I'm ten kinds of F'd up.....I guess he's right lol.

my father-in-law had a stroke 6 yrs ago and along with other things came seizures, he is now 68 yrs old and cant really explain what happens to him while he is having one.
it sounds like a simple partial seizure, but you still gott get a medical check up cuz it could be other things, heres a link i found with more info. hope you feel better.

My SO and I joke about all my health issue's, and his Diabetes. We say we "gotta quit shopping in the dented can aisle"
