Would you let your tween age dd wear PJ's to school if the School was having a PJ day. Tomorrow is PJ day at the Junior High. It also happens to be the day of the school wide spelling bee. So she'll be on stage in her PJ's. Most of the kids maddy has spoken with dont' have the courage to wear PJ's to school so it could be a low turn out. She's determined and super excited.
I wanted to pay attention to see as many kids as I could this morning. I wanted to see how many were in PJ's. Granted I didnt by any means see all 700 children. But I did see alot of them headed off to school. Only saw 1 girl (besides my kids) in PJ's there was another girl that could of been PJ's but coudl of been reg pants too. My son almost chickend out decided on Pj pants and a shirt that could pass for Pj's. Last night he was all about wearing his flannel buttoned down shirt that matched his pants lol This morning he was thinking twice. We've never had a PJ day before. Maddy thought it was extremly funny that she woke up changed out of Pj's and into another pair lol
I would let her if she wants but if she doesn't want to be on stage in them let her take a change of clothes. My son did this one year but they have PJ day so often it doesn't make a difference anymore.
My 12 year old did a few weeks back..I bought her new PJ's for it....She had a blast..I bought her some real cute fleece ones...she wore the jacket open with her Twilight T shirt under it...(The only PJ's I could get were very young looking)....about half her mates wore them...even some of the guys...
EDIT** I did call the school that morning and make sure she had the right day so no one would laugh at her if she was wrong..lol

I definintely would. They will have guidelines I am sure, like no lingerie. lol I taught highschool and wore my pjs on pj day. I wore a flannel nightgown and bunny slippers. The kids were horrified. It was fun.

I'd let her. So her peers aren't doing it...at least she's not following the crowd. Don't stifle her excitement!
