i need some help.

my second ear piercing hole i think is infected, but only slightly since it only hurts.. i took out the earring for a short time to look and it's not extra red or oozing or hot to the touch, it just hurts.

i don't wanna clean it with alcohol because i heard that was bad for it ? but maybe i'm wrong.. i for sure won't leave the earring out, which is 24 white gold, because when my other ear got infected i left it out and my sister had to shove it back thru and it healed too low.

my question, what can i use to clean the hole and the earring ? is alcohol okay or is there something else  that would work better ?

peroxide should do it if you don't want to use rubbing alcohol.

 NEVER use alcohol to clean a piercing- it dries up the outer shell of the "wound" and does not allow the inner part to heal correctly.   Find a small spray bottle and mix peroxide, salt (preferably sea salt but table will work) water, and if you have vitamin E you can squeeze that in there.  This will clean it and promote quick healing.

won't the salt make it burn though ?? lol i'm a wimp and that just sounds like it's gunna hurt.
